Chapter 168 of the Mount Pleasant Township’s Codification of Ordinances requires all residents to dispose of their waste with the municipality's contracted hauler. The present hauler is Waste Management.
Pertinent Information: A 10% Senior Citizen Discount will be provided for residents age 62 and older with required proof of age. Please contact the Township Office with proof of age to receive this discount. The present Quarterly Rate of Garbage is $60 per Quarter and $54 per Quarter for Senior Citizens. Penalty/Interest is 10% per annum. Payments can be mailed to the Township Office, paid in person at the Township Office or left in the drop box located beside the front door at the Township Office. You are also able to pay electronically at TrashBilling.Com. Instructions are located on this page in the green bar on the left titled TrashBilling.com Instructions. Quarterly bills will be in the form of a yellow postcard and mailed as follows:
Quarter 1 — mailing date will be December 1 of the prior year with payment due by
December 31
Quarter 2 — mailing date will be March 1 with payment due by March 31
Quarter 3 — mailing date will be June 1 with payment due by June 30
Quarter 4 — mailing date will be September 1 with payment due by September 30
Reminders: Waste Management actually picks up the garbage and should be contacted directly with questions or concerns about your service. Please call 800-866-4460 for Customer Service. Please inform them you are a resident of Mount Pleasant Township, Washington County. If your problem is not being addressed properly by Waste Management, please contact the Township Office. Mount Pleasant Township will be handling the billing directly to residents.

Past Due Balances: If you have a past due balances with Jordan Tax Service for billing services provided from January 1 through December 31, 2021, you will continue to receive notices from Jordan Tax Service until your account is paid in full. If you need to contact Jordan Tax Service regarding a past due account, please call 724-731-2317.
If you have a past due balance with Waste Management for services provided prior and through December 31, 2020, you will continue to receive notices from Waste Management until your account is paid in full. If you need to contact Waste Management regarding a past due account, please call 800-866-4460.
