UPDATE FOR BULK ITEMS

 

UPDATE REGARDING BULK ITEMS:  We received the following update from Waste Management:

ACCEPTABLE BULK ITEMS:  Household furniture and large appliances, including but not limited to the following:  washers, dryers, dishwashers, stoves, bicycles, microwaves, toilets, hot water heaters, etc.  Carpeting is accepted but must be cut into 4 ft. sections and rolled and tied/taped securely into bundles weighing no more than 40 pounds.  A    12 x 12 ft. room of carpet and paddings is considered 1 bulk item.  A mattress and box spring are also considered 1 bulk item.  Push mowers will be accepted as long as the gas and oil are drained and dry for 24 hours.

ANY ITEMS CONTAINING FREON MUST HAVE THE FREON REMOVED BY A CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN WITH THE PROPER DOCUMENTATION ATTACHED.  THE ITEM WILL NOT BE TAKEN IF THE FREON WAS REMOVED ILLEGALLY.  Items containing FREON include but are not limited to:  refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers and water coolers.  Refrigerators and freezers must have the doors removed.

UNACCEPTABLE BULK ITEMS:  Insecticides, pesticides, oil, gas, propane tanks, rocks, gravel, bricks, concrete, cement, dirt, sod, tree stumps, car parts, antifreeze, riding mowers, all hot tub parts (excluding covers), basketball hoop poles and tires
